David Jassy Biography


Introducing musician, songwriter and producer David Jassy.



David Jassy is a musician, songwriter and music producer from Stockholm, Sweden. David has written lyrics for several artists such as American singer Ashley Tisdale (Be Good to Me, Not Like That, It's Alright, It's OK, Acting Out, Crank It Up & Watcha Waitin' For), German girlgroup No Angel (Goodbye to Yesterday & Back Off), new US upcoming boyband V Factory (Lovestruck, In It For The Love, Catch 22, History & Outta Control), Swedish popartist Darin (Runaway, Flashback, Karma, Strobelight, Roadtrip & What If) just to mention a few. Jassy has also collaborated with many very talented producers and songwriters sush as Bloodshy & Avant (Britney Spears, Madonna), Kara DioGuardi (Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion), RedOne (Lady Gaga, Akon, Enrique Iglesias), Twin (Ashley Tisdale, V Factory, Tynisha Keli) and The Writing Camp (Brandy, Sean Kingston).

David's most recent work is the hit single "It's Alright, It's OK" for popstar Ashley Tisdale, Swedish popsensation Darin's second single "Runaway" and Billboard listed "Lovestruck" for a new upcoming boyband called V Factory. David also has two more songs on Ashley Tisdale's new album "Guilty Pleasure", called "Acting out" and "Crank it up" (featuring his vocals).

David has also written "Body Language" which is a song performed by American singer and "The Hills" reality tv star Heidi Montag from her eponymous debut album, Heidi Montag. It was self-released to iTunes on August 13, 2009. Ryan Seacrest premiered "Body Language" on his morning radio programme on August 16, 2007 to a generally positive reception. She performed the song on Miss Universe 2009.

In late 1990s David Jassy and another musician from Stockholm, Andreas Avellan, formed R&B, Hip Hop band called Navigators[1]. They released first single, cover of Joyce Sims' song "Come Into My Life" in 1998[2]. In the same year they released another single called "I Still Remember". In 1999 they released their third and most successful single "Superstar"[2] which reached number 20 in Swedish Music Charts and stayed there for 11 weeks[3]. In "Superstar" Jassy and Avellan sampled bassline from Chic's classic "I Want Your Love". In the same year their only album "Daily Life Illustrators" was released[3], reaching number 27 at Swedish Music Charts.
